Clara Day Chandler, 87, of Richmond, died Saturday, December 9, 2000. She was the daughter of the late Ira Eugene and Sallie Caskie Day; and was preceded in death by three sisters, Thelma D. Traylor, Margaret D. Pecawicz and Janice D. Pflugradt; and one brother, Randolph Day. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Shirley D. and Lloyd Mounce of LaPorte, Ind.; granddaughter, Tammara Lynn Mounce-Kalinowski of LaPorte, Ind.; grandson, Robert Mounce of Wichita, Kan.; five great-grandchildren; three brothers, Leroy Day of Rockville, Md., Robert Day of Richmond, and Emil Day of Virginia Beach. Her remains rest at the Bliley Funeral Home's Staples Mill Chapel, 8510 Staples Mill Rd., where the family will receive friends 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, and where funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday. Interment The Fork Episcopal Church Cemetery, Doswell, Va. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of Central Virginia, 5540 Falmouth St., Suite 307, Richmond, Va. 23230.
