TITUSVILLE, Fla. — Stena "Tina" Millicent Day Blake, 50, died after a short illness in Titusville on Monday, Dec. 5, 2005.

She was dearly loved for her gentle spirit. She will be sorely missed by Claude, her spouse of 26 years, and her two sons of whom she was enormously proud, Michael Caine and Matthew Ryan.

Tina had received her LPN degree from Riverside Hospital in Newport News, Va. The Blakes had moved to Florida after living for a few years on a farm in Marie. During that time, Tina had worked at Princeton Community Hospital. She was employed as a licensed practical nurse for the past 14 years at Brevard Correctional Institution in Brevard County, Fla.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Stanley K. and Anna Sue Frazier-Day (1924-1998), and a brother, Scott Gerald Day

She is survived by her husband, Claude Blake (retired U.S. Navy), and sons, Michael and Matthew, of Cocoa, Fla. She was also dearly loved and will be greatly missed by her sisters, Kathy Hill and husband, Bob, of Southside, Sharon Clauss and husband, Larry, of Phoenix, Ariz.; her brother, Dr. Stanley Day and his wife, Betty, of Nimitz; her aunts, Jenny Lee Ellison of Nimitz, Nellie Jo Mason of Southside and Keta Sandler of Baltimore, Md.; and several neices, nephews and cousins.

Memorial service will be held at the chapel at her former work site, and at her request, her body will be cremated and buried later in Arlington National Cemetery, near her parents.
