"Isabella Gertrude McConchie was born April 29th 1862 in Fauquier County Virginia, she was the eldest daughter of Robert Alexander McConchie & Mary Catherine Brown. On September 25,1881 she married widower Lewis Dewey Day becoming an instant Mother to his five surviving children from his first marriage. Shortly after, their marriage was blessed with five more children Isabella's husband Lewis died in 1903 and on April 3rd , 1907 in Washington D.C. she married again to John Bertwood Armstrong. Isabella was a life long resident of Fauquier County . She was preceded in death by her parents and her first husband Lewis Day as well as their son Chauncey Day and is survived by her husband John Armstrong and her two sons Andrew Jackson and Frederick Montgomery Day,and her two daughters Mary Olive Eustace and Anna Laura Payne as well as her three step sons William Harrison , Lewis Taft and George Washington Day and two step daughters Annis Mariah Eustace and Belinda Smith"
