Mary Lois (Jones) DeCastro Cusick
Mary Lois Jones DeCastro Cusick, age 71, Carl Junction, MO, passed away at 7:06 p.m. January 9, 2000 at her home following a long illness. Mary was born January 23, 1928 in Chickasha, OK, the daughter of Frank and Margaret (Smith) Jones. She was a Nurses Aid for Elmhurst Nursing Home and a waitress at several local restaurants. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Carl Junction, MO.
She married Victor DeCastro in June of 1945 in Columbus, KS, he preceded her in death in 1980. She married Walter Cusick in April of 1964, he preceded her in death in 1989.
She is also, preceded in death by one son, Lee DeCastro; one brother, William Jones; and one sister, Helen Virgin.
Survivors include four daughters, Edna Fraizer, Sue DeCastro, Tressa Robitaille, all of Carl Junction, MO, and Margie King, Duenweg, MO; four sons. Bill DeCastro, Carl Junction, MO, Emmett DeCastro, state of Kentucky, Tom DeCastro, Garland, TX, and Hubert DeCastro, Enid, OK; two step-sons, Buster DeCastro and Ronnie Cusick, both of Joplin; three sisters, Margaret Doucet and Estella Buckner, both of Chickasha, OK, and June Ford, Lonoke, AR; one brother, Thomas Jones, Garden City, KS; 21 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at the Mason-Woodard Chapel. Tony Kinzer, Minister and Pastor Earl Lewis will officiate. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Dennis Tyndall, Mike Tyndall, Tommy DeCastro, Rob DeCastro, James Hubbard, and Henry Otto. Honorary pallbearers will be Danny Bankson and Ronnie Cusick. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at Mason-Woodard Mortuary.
