Christiana remarried four years later in 1868, becoming the third wife of George DeHaven, Jr.
In 1870, they lived in the Frankford section of Philadelphia with his son George and his daughter Pauline. Father and son were accountants. George and Christiana also had a 5-month-old daughter Lillie. Two domestics, a coachman, and a farmhand lived with them.
Five years later, Christiana died of typhoid fever. According to her death cert, she was 42 years old, but the birth date given on her gravestone suggests she was in her 47th year.
