Bob was four years old when he came to the Meagan district with his parents. He completed grade eight at Meagan School.
Worked as a Hunting Guide for American hunters.
Suffered Inflammatory Rheumatism as a child.
Lost the sight of one eye when he was eighteen due to throwing 22 shells on a bonfire at a party.
In 1950 he lost his house in a fire.
He married Alma Bellerby in 1960 and lived on her parents farm as they had moved to town.
After Alma died in 1971 Bob rented the farm and moved to town.
