Funeral services were held this morning for Mrs. Lydia Maddox Deckard, 71, who died Monday following a long illness. The final rites were held at the Crother's Funeral Chapel of Tallulah, La., with the Reverend John F. Kilpatrick, pastor of the Methodist Church officiating. Interment was made in the Silver Cross Cemetery.

The deceased is survived by two sons, John and Murial Deckard, of Tallulah; six daughters, Mrs. Adeline Conklin of Kingston, Tenn.; Mrs. Cleo Welch and Mrs. Lucille Gilbert of Tallulah, Mrs. Jesse Carruth and Mrs. Ruth Slater of Batesville, Ark.; Mrs. Lola PoiKart of St. Louis, Mo.; two brothers, Cletus Maddox of Bedford, Ind. and Zane Maddox of Bloomington, Ind.

Pallbearers were Teck Fondren, Marcell White, Vonnie Sharp, Perry Sargent, George Townsend, and Jessie Laird.
