ALDRIDGE, DeAnn age 74 of South Charleston, formerly of the Fairborn area, passed away Saturday May 24, 2014. She was born August 21, 1939 in Dayton, the daughter of the late Anthony J. and Erma I. (Dakin) Decker. DeAnn enjoyed a varied and happy nursing career, starting with employment with Dr. Winans in Fairborn and retiring from Harrington Corp. She was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ in Fairborn and Plattsburg United Church of Christ in South Charleston. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a grandson, Paul M. Huggins. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Paul Gary Aldridge; a daughter, Lori L. Huggins of South Charleston; two grandchildren, Austin J. Huggins and Alicen L. Huggins; a sister, Sandra K. Conn of Kettering; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other extended family, and dear friends of her card club group.
The family will receive friends on Thursday May 29, 2014 from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. in the Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, 422 E. Dayton-Yellow Springs Rd., Fairborn, where a funeral service will be held on Friday May 30, 2014 at 10:00 A.M., Pastor Gene Cline and Pastor Curt Miner officiating. Burial will follow in the Byron Cemetery.
