By June of 1860, in Milnersville, Guernsey County, she was living with Christopher Hartman - a cousin or uncle - and was listed as a house maid, while David Arnold (21) was listed as a farm hand, living in the same residence. She married David on September 12, 1860, by whom she had a daughter, Rettie, four years before their marriage. Their other children included, Annie, Ida (Moore), Mary, Margaret, Christopher, Ross, and David. The family farmed in Guernsey Co., until moving to a property northeast of Freeport where Delilah died of a massive stroke. About ten years after her death, David and their unmarried daughters moved to a tiny house at Smyrna - about 10 miles away. David died there in 1917.
