Linda Deeds Maupin Briscoe, 62, of Charlottesville, passed away on Thursday, February 18, 2010, at the University of Virginia Medical Center.
She was born on March 8, 1947, in Charlottesville, the daughter of the late John Deeds and Edith Wharam Deeds.
Mrs. Briscoe was a member of Mount View Baptist Church in Charlottesville, The National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Montpelier Chapter, and The American Legion Auxiliary, Department of Virginia.
She is survived by her husband, Lee Speed Briscoe of Charlottesville and many friends.
A memorial service will be held 1:30 p.m. Wednesday February 24, 2010, at Rapidan Baptist Church in Wolftown, with the Reverend Jennifer Kelly officiating. The family will receive friends from 1 until 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to Mount View Baptist Church, 908 St. Clair Avenue, Charlottesville, VA 22901 or SPCA Charlottesville-Albemarle, 3355 Berkmar Drive, Charlottesville, VA 22901 or the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital , 45 South Camilla Street, Memphis, TN 38104.
