It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Alberta Marie Cameron, age 74, at University Hospitals, Iowa City. Alberta was taken from us on Dec. 24, 2005 following a hip fracture and a long illness.

She was born in Waterloo on April 17, 1931, to Albert Clyde and Addie Deeds. She was one of nine children. On July 2, 1948, she married Clair Cameron, and together had one son.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clair Cameron, in 2001; siblings, Wanda Goldsworth, Arnold Deeds, Bill Deeds, Bob Deeds, Florence Murray Kearns; and nephew, Arnold Deeds Jr.

Survivors include siblings, Helen Porter of Horn Lake, Mississippi, Ronald Deeds of Colorado and Addie (Garland) Davis of Cedar Rapids; son, Ronald "Ron" (Cindy); grandchildren, Chris, Mike and Carrianne; and great-grandchildren, C. J., Christopher, Sequoyah and Ashley.

Services will be 3 p.m. today at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories, Cedar Rapids. Burial will be in Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.

She will be missed by her niece, Gina Brown, and her sons.
