Marie D. Beckett, (nee Dehner) formerly of Gibbstown of Pitman Manor passed away Wednesday, Jan. 21st, at Inspira Hospital, Woodbury with her family by her side at the age of 79.
Marie was born in Thorofare, NJ. She was the beloved wife of the late John Wallace Dawson.
Marie, a secretary, retired from Mobil Oil Company in Paulsboro, NJ. Her favorite thing in her life was her family. She was also an avid Phillies & Eagles fan.
Marie is survived by her 2 daughters, Cyndie Woodbury of Longview, TX and Lindsay (Bob) Hammel of Barnsboro, NJ; her son, Steve (Mary) Beckett of Logan Twp., NJ; 6 grandchildren, Bob Hammel of West Deptford; Wally Hammel of Deptford; Keith Hammel of Barnsboro; Steve Beckett of Gibbstown; Corinne Metz of Pennsville; & Kim Woodbury of Sioux City, Iowa; 8 great grandchildren, Joey & Aaron Knapp; Patience, Essence, & Soleil Hammel; Haleigh Hammel; Nicky Beckett; & Zoey Cunningham; a brother, Milford J. (Dinker) Dehner & a sister, Margie Friars both of Thorofare along with many nieces & nephews.
Marie will be missed by many, but will be dancing her way up to heaven into the arms of the love of her life, Wally!
