Donald J. Delaney, 62, of 2719 E. Brutus Street., Weedsport., died October 8 at University Hospital. Born in Syracuse, on September 7, 1936 Mr. Delaney worked at the Carrier Corp. for 35 years in various salaried positions in maintenance engineering. He served four years in the Navy as a Seabee. Mr. Delaney was a graduate of Skaneateles High School. He was also a member of the National Warplanes Museum in Geneseo. Surviving are his wife, the former Carol Chase; one daughter, Patricia Delaney of Rome; two sons, James and David, both of Syracuse; his mother, Rita Delaney of Skaneateles; one brother, Stephen Delaney and his wife, Ellen of Skaneateles; four grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Services were held October 13 at the Robert D. Gray Funeral Home, Skaneateles. Burial was in Lakeview Cemetery, Skaneateles. In lieu of flowers, Contributions may be made to Francis House, 108 Michael's St., Syracuse, NY 13208 or the charity of your choice.
