Theresa Delaney Khammar, 80, of Fairmount, passed away Wednesday at home. A lifetime resident of the Syracuse area, she was a 1951 graduate of Baldwinsville High School. Theresa was a home day care provider for over 20 years and an Avon representative, which earned her the President's Award. She most importantly loved being with her family and would never miss any event. She was a member of St. Elias Orthodox Church, rarely missing a Sunday service, the VFW Ladies' Auxiliary in Mattydale and American Legion in East Syracuse. She cherished dancing with her husband every Saturday night. Theresa was predeceased by her husband of 57 years, Gabriel, in 2010; great-granddaughter, Sabrina Roze; and brothers, Harold, Richard, and Francis Delaney. Surviving are her children, Rozanne (Craig) Garcia, Nick (Chris), Neil, John, and Thomas (Julia); sister, Betty (Steven) Braundel; brothers, Charles (Rose) Delaney and John (Margaret) Delaney; daughter-in-law, Patsi Moseley-Khammar; grandchildren, Shawn, Nick, Danielle, Robert, Ashley, Rachel, Amber, Connor and Collin; great-grandchildren, Dylan, Lillith, Alexandria, Austin, Jackson, Alina and Sophia; and all her nieces and nephews who had a special place in her heart. A special thank you to niece, Cynthia Sheckler for always sharing a place in her heart. Relatives and friends may call Sunday, January 12 from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus. Services will be Monday, January 13 at 10 a.m. in St. Elias Orthodox Church. Theresa will be laid to rest in Woodlawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Elias Orthodox Church, 4988 Onondaga Rd., Syracuse, NY 13215; of CNY, 441 W. Kirkpatrick St., Syracuse, NY 13204; or to St. Nektarios Greek Orthodox Monastery, 100 Anawanda Lake Rd., Roscoe, NY 12776.
