Henry M. Denmark, 72, of Irwin County, died Sunday, February 16, 2014, at his residence.

Funeral services will be held 11 AM, Tuesday, February 18, 2014, at The Paulk Funeral Home Chapel in Fitzgerald with the Rev. Wayne McCrimmon and the Rev. Jay Roberson officiating. Interment will follow in Abba Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 Monday evening at the funeral home in Fitzgerald.

Mr. Denmark was born May 20, 1941 in Homerville, Georgia. He attended school in Clinch County and served his country honorably in the United States Army. He was a retired USDA inspector for the Federal-State Inspection Service specializing in fresh fruits and vegetables. Mr. Denmark enjoyed being a part of the Burger King coffee club. He was a member of Big Creek Baptist Church and also attended Irwinville United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife: Julia Rodgers Denmark of Irwin County with whom he celebrated 42 years of marriage on Saturday; two daughters: Barbara & Robert Baldree of Byron and Teresa Denmark of Canton; three granddaughters: Colleen Baldree, Rhianna Baldree, and Sarah Baldree, all of Byron; and one sister: Nancy & Timothy Gillette of Dawsonville. He was preceded in death by his parents: Norman Martin Denmark and Christine Darley Denmark as well as a sister: Faye Holton and a brother: Larry Denmark.
