Marie Desmond Bayly

Marie Desmond Bayly, 62, of Pocono Lake, PA passed away on September 23, 2012. She was the wife of Daniel P. Bayly, and the youngest daughter of the late Dr. Harold and Grace Desmond of Allentown, PA.
Born on May 28,1950 in Allentown, PA, she was a graduate of Central Catholic High School. An appreciator of the countryside, she was a resident of Elverson, PA, and Reading, PA for 30 years; Marie and her husband retired to Locust Lake Village in 2008.
An avid reader, and occasionally teased by family for reading an author's entire works in chronological order, Marie was also a skilled crochet and needlework hobbyist and a master of puzzles. She was an enthusiast of both wine and the resort town of Ocean City, NJ, which she paired together and hosted large, extended family gatherings.
Survivors: In addition to her husband, her daughter Marnie; son, Jeff; sister, Ann Heckenberger; brother, Harold P. Desmond; and many nieces and nephews all survive Marie.
A Memorial Mass will be held at the Cathedral of St. Catherine of Sienna, 1825 Turner St., Allentown, PA on Saturday, September 29.
A gathering of friends and family will be held from 10 AM until the time of service at 11 AM. Father Brian Miller will officiate the service.
