DESMOND--Ellen Marie Desmond, a resident of Monrovia for 35 years, and of California for 50 years, died Sunday at Santa Teresita Hospital. She was a native of North Dakota, a graduate of University of Montana, where she was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma. The decedent was a member of Immaculate Conception Church, and the Atlas Society there. She was also a member of Foothill's Area Passahallenic, the Mary Knoll Guild, and the Republican Woman's Club. She was a former member of the Monrovia Women's Club and had served the Red Cross as a Grey Lady. Survivors are her husband, Clarence F. Desmond; daughter, Diana Bong; son, David G. Desmond; sister, Mrs. Harry McKee of North Dakota; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and countless friends. Rosary, 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, Requiem Mass, 9:00 a.m. Wednesday, both at Immaculate Conception Church. Interment, Live Oak Memorial Park, under the direction of Hills Monrovia Mortuary.
