Constance Desmond Bond died Feb. 28, 2007. A lifelong resident of Long Beach she graduated from Poly High, Mercy College of Nursing and the University of Redlands. A registered nurse she founded and directed the original team of operation room nurses for UCLA School of Medicine hospital. She was a member of the Assistance League auxiliary, Las Hermanas and active in the Petroleum Club of Long Beach Women's Club.
Survived by son Alexander Bond Jr. of Long Beach; daughter Marianne (Michael) Ernesto; 2 grandchildren; sisters Edith Daley and Olive Desmond; brother Walter J. Desmond Jr, all of Long Beach. Predeceased by husband Alexander Stewart Bond; brothers Richard Desmond, Gerald Desmond and Dr. Wayne Hanson; sisters Eleanor Maloney and Mary McGinnis.
Funeral mass at St. Barnabas Catholic Church, Long Beach. Interment at All Souls Cemetery.
