Burton E. Dezendorf Passed away March 15, 2010 at the age of 88. He was a native of East Williston, NY. Burt spent his retirement years in CO to be near his children. A World War II veteran, he flew C-47's in the Pacific. In 1990, when he moved to Colorado, he joined two groups of veteran pilots; The Ostrich Patrol and 43D. Burt turned his love of flying into a career as a commercial pilot. He retired from Eastern Airlines in 1981. His second love was cars and he was a member of the Mustang Club and the Mercedes Club. He is survived by his children Andrea (Claudia), Burt (Suzanne) and Claudia; grandsons, Burton and Ryan; brother Fredrick; and sister Margaret. Preceded in death by his wife Dorothy. Burial, Friday, March 19, 2010, 9:30 a.m., Staging Area "B", Fort Logan National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Burt's name to Disabled American Veterans, P.O. Box 14301, Cincinnati, OH 45250 or The Hospice of Saint John, 1320 Everett Ct., Lakewood, CO 80215
