Son of William & Mary H. Dickson, of Seaham, Co. Durham;

husband of Jane Hedworth Dickson, of Sunderland, Co. Durham,

On January 8th, 1940, the British cargo ship TYNEHOME, built in 1918 by Cook, Welton & Gemmell Ltd, on voyage from Sunderland to Rotterdam with a cargo of coal, sank after a collision with the SS GITANO. 4 people lost their lives, 4 were rescued.
