Alan Robert Diem
A funeral for Alan Robert Diem of Canby will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Everhart & Kent Funeral Home in Canby. Private burial will be in Willamette National Cemetery.
Mr. Diem died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound Jan. 10 in his home. He was 44.
He was born April 29, 1947, in Oregon City. Mr. Diem graduated from Canby Union High School in 1965 and served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. He was a crewman in dredge operations for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers from 1971 to 1973. He was a warehouseman for Con Agra Pet Products in Wilsonville from 1984 until his death.
He is survived by his father, Robert Diem, of Canby and several aunts and uncles.
The family suggests that remembrances be contributions to the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife, P.O. Box 59, Portland, Ore. 97207.
