Affectionately called "Sara" by friends and relations Rosaria loved children. She had eight children ( six surviving to adulthood) and six grandchildren (she is pictured with her youngest grandchild here in 1969). She loved music, dancing and to cook and entertain. Friends and family were the closest to her heart and she would often remind people, "Tell me who your friends are and I'll tell you who you are". Her coffee pot never got fully washed but merely rinsed, because it was always on the stove percolating for the next round of visitors. Her delectable pastries were highly sought after commodities at gatherings. She was involved in church festivals and enjoyed giving advice to everyone. She had a contagious laugh and a warm smile. She would time her cooking by how many decades of the Rosary she would say before her dish was done. There was never a lack, of food, laughter and love in her presence. She welcomed the world.
