Era Dillard Lipsey, 86, of Tifton died Monday, January 9, 2012, at Golden Living Center.
Mrs. Lipsey was born on April 22, 1925 in Tift County and was the daughters of John W. Dillard and Flora Parr Dillard, both deceased. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Bonwell Raiford "Ray" Lipsey, who died in 1984; and one brother, Lloyd Dillard. She was a retired beautician and a member of Tift Avenue Missionary Baptist Church.
Mrs. Lipsey is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Bonwell Ralph and Barbara Jean Lipsey of Byron; one step-granddaughter, Hillarie Furman of Byron; one sister, Grace Ray of Centerville; an adopted daughter, Linda Thomason of Tifton; a sister-in-law, Alice Lipsey of Tifton; and several nieces and nephews.
