Thomas Wyatt Dobson, Sr., 91, passed away on April 6, 2016. He was born in Winter Park, Florida on August 27, 1924.

He graduated from Orlando Senior High School, entered the Navy in 1943, and served on the USS Intrepid. Upon retirement from the Navy he earned an Associates Degree from Rollins College. Thomas moved to Jacksonville in 1949 where he worked for the Navy as a civilian for several years. He then began his career as a Quality Control Specialist with Universal Oil Products and retired in 1996.

Thomas was a charter member of San Jose Church of Christ which was founded in 1956, where he faithfully served as a Deacon for over 40 years. He was also actively involved in Bible study as well as the upcoming building expansion project. Thomas found great fulfillment in serving others. However, his greatest joy was being with his children and grandchildren. He will always be Granddaddy but to us he was the perfect example of a loving father and a man of character and integrity.
