Mrs. Bennett was born Aug. 30, 1923 in Brooksville, to Daniel and Marjorie Dobson. She was a homemaker, mother, enjoyed fishing and gardening. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church and formerly of Lydia Baptist Church.
She is survived by sons, Talmadge (Judy) Bennett, of Horseshoe Beach and Dennis Wayne (Marie) Bennett, of Old Town; daughter, LaWanda (Clyde) Barber, of Green Cove Springs; sister, Wilhelminia Kelley, of Clewiston; six grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, L. A. Bennett.
A visitation was Aug. 23, at the Rick Gooding Funeral Home from noon to 2 p.m. Graveside services followed at Waters Memorial Cemetery, Steinhatchee.
Arrangements were under the care of the Rick Gooding Funeral Home, Cross City.
