OTTUMWA - Mary M. Adamson, 89, formerly of 910 W. Second St. died at 11:45 am February 11, 2012 at Good Samaritan Society-Ottumwa.

She was born on January 22, 1923 in Davis County to Elmer and Clarissa Hopkins Doll. She married Franklin Adamson in 1946. He preceded her in death in 1975. A resident of Ottumwa most of her life, she had worked 32 years for John Morrell and Co. retiring in 1973.

Surviving is a daughter, Rose Adamson of Des Moines; two sons, Robert(Martha)Adamson and Franklin LaVerne(Sue)Adamson both of Ottumwa; 13 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; one great-great granddaughter; 5 sisters, Nancy Cox of Cedar Rapids, Sharon Henshaw of Centerville, Jennie Brown of Minneapolis, MN, Betty Barker of Flint, MI, and Patty Powell of Moulton; and a brother, Jack Doll of Sedalia, MO.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Irene Weich; two brothers, Jim Doll and Russell Doll.

Funeral services will be 1 pm Tuesday at Reece Funeral Home with Rev. Loyd Osborn officiating. Burial will be in Shaul Cemetery. Visitation will be open after 1 pm today with the family present from 6-8 pm. Memorials may be made to Heartland Humane Society, Ottumwa, IA.
