Adams, Dorothy Louise

Funeral will be at 9 a.m. Wednesday at Ridout's Valley Chapel, Homewood, for Mrs. Dorothy Louise Adams, 79, Shelby County, who died Monday, Aug. 26, 2002. Burial will be in Crestwood Cemetery, Gadsden. Ridout's Valley Chapel, Homewood, is in charge.

Mrs. Adams was preceded in death by her husband, Charles P. Adams, and her daughter, Angela K. Adams.

Mrs. Adams was a graduate of Thompson High School and attended the University of Montevallo. The wife of a Methodist minister, she was a schoolteacher for many years. She later became a nurse and served with Dr. Scott Vance in Gadsden.

She is survived by her son, Rick Adams; daughter, Maria Phillips Adams; sister, Roxie Craig; three grandchildren, Penny Batchelor, Amy Rodriguez and Daniel Batchelor.
