Deceased Name: Mary Catherine Barclay
ROYALTON - Mary Catherine Barclay, 68, of Royalton, died at 8:20 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 26, 2005, in Memorial Hospital of Carbondale.

Mrs. Barclay was born April 5, 1937, in Christopher, to Melbourne and Rose (Falcomata) Donelson.

She married Alexander J. Barclay Aug. 15, 1955, in Lawrence, Mich. He survives of Royalton.

Other survivors include three daughters and two sons-in-law, Linda and Tim Edwards of Herrin, Starlene Ann Underwood of Springfield and Cheryl and Jerry Smillie of Johnston City; three sons and a daughter-in-law, Steve Barclay of Royalton, Michael Paul Barclay of South Lyon, Mich. and Alexander James and Gail Barclay of Christopher; 14 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren; a sister, Violet Vietti of Michigan; and a brother and sister-in-law, James and Janet Donelson of Michigan.

Her parents; two sisters, Carmen Ritchie and Helen Dover; a brother, Layman "Bud" Donelson; and a brother-in-law, Joe Vietti preceded her in death.

Mrs. Barclay was a member of Royalton First Baptist Church where she served many years in the bus and card ministries.

Her life was a life of service as a mother, wife and church member; her mission was to spread the good news of the gospel. She was also a member of the Royalton Senior Citizens.

Services for Mrs. Barclay will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 29, 2005, Royalton First Baptist Church, Illinois 149 South, with Brothers Ron Knox and Jim Ebbs officiating. Burial will be in Miners Cemetery, east of Royalton. Visiting hours are from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the church.

Memorial contributions in memory of Mrs. Barclay maybe made to Royalton First Baptist Church. Envelopes will be available at the church.
