Maxine W. Archbold of Fairborn died on Tuesday, Jan. 20, in her son’s residence in Enon. She was 75.

Born on March 20, 1928, in Yellow Springs, she was the daughter of Thomas and Norma Brown Donley.

She was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church of Yellow Springs. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, and was always willing to help others in need and be there for her children.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Howard Robert Archbold, whom she married Sept. 30, 1946; and a brother, Gene Donley.

She is survived by four children, Linda Archbold of Springfield, Tom Archbold of New Carlisle, Kathy Carey of Beavercreek and Tim Archbold of Enon; seven grandchildren, Tina and Angela Brown, Robbie, Amanda, Ben and Jacob Archbold and Tarany Allison; six great-grandchildren, Raymond, Angelo, Joey, Emily, Kalli and Chloe; two sisters, Virginia Trinkler and Marie Corrigan; and a brother, Richard Donley.

The family will accept family and friends Friday, Jan. 23, 9–10:30 a.m., in Adkins Funeral Home, 7055 Dayton Road in Enon. A mass of Christian burial will be held Jan. 23, at 11 a.m., in St. Paul Catholic Church in Yellow Springs, with Fr. Joseph Raudabaugh officiating. Burial will follow in St. Paul Cemetery.
