AUGUST, EBE A. 97, formerly of Manville died Tuesday June 21, 2016 at St. Antoine Residence. She was the wife of the late Manuel August. Born and raised in Manville she was a daughter of the late Gino "Ciro" and Josephine (Pialunga) Donnini. She was a lifelong resident of Manville and lived at St. Antoine Residence for the past 16 years. Mrs. August was employed a nurse's aide at St. Antoine for many years before retiring in 1984. Ebe was a communicant of St. James Parish in Manville and a former member of the Enrico Caruso Society and the Golden Agers of Manville and Albion. She volunteered her time for Meal on Wheels and at The Holiday in Manville. In addition to her work there Ebe also volunteered at Hospice St. Antoine. Ebe had a special place in her heart for her cats. She is survived by her son Kenneth A. August and his fiancée Maureen Lee of North Providence. She was the sister of the late Evo J. "Curly" Donnini, the late founder of Ciro's Restaurant in Woonsocket. Funeral services and burial were private. Donations in her memory may be made to St. Antoine Residence, 10 Rhodes Ave. North Smithfield, RI. 02896.
