Helen Moore Douglas died June 11 at a local hospital. She was 84. Born Oct. 26, 1906, in Elsberry, MO., she lived in the county for 29 years and was a resident of Chula Vista.
She was a school teacher for 45 years. She was a life member of the National Education Association and also belonged to the Order of Eastern Star at United Methodist Church, both in Elsberry.
Survivors include her husband, James, and sisters Alma and Mildred Moore, both of Missouri, and Pauline Ferguson of North Carolina.
Services were Friday at Humphrey Chapel with entombment at Glen Abbey Mausoleum. Arrangements were under the direction of Humphrey Mortuary.
