Nellie taught in a missionary school in Egypt for five years and then resided in California for the remaining years of her life. She was a resident of Lincoln Manor Nursing Home when she made it to age 100. She was survived by her children Marlene, David, Lorraine, Donna, and Beverly; 14 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild. She was predeceased by two sons, Douglas and Dewey.
