Dorothy L. Detillian, 83, of Chillicothe, died Sunday, August 24, 2008, in Heartland of Chillicothe following an extended illness.

Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, August 27, 2008, in the Ware Funeral Home, with Chaplain George Vastine officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery.

Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Ware's.

Dorothy was born September 24, 1924 to the late Elmer and Edith Guysinger Downing. On December 1, 1945, she married Homer "Bud" Detillian, who died January 31, 1990.

Surviving are a daughter, Brenda (Richard) DeMint; grandchildren, Jamie (Amanda) Detillian, Mary Detillian, Amy (Jason) Allie, and Lora DeMint (boyfriend Anthony Ward); great-grandchildren, Christina, Bryce, Rebecca, Myiah, and Cassandra; a great-great-grandson, Brayden; several nieces and nephews; and many friends including special friends, Bonnie and Don Fyffe.

She was predeceased by a son, Dale Detillian; an infant son; an infant daughter; two sisters; and several brothers.

Dorothy loved fishing and was an avid bowler.
