Barbara J. Downing, 78, of Chillicothe formerly of Reynoldsburg, died peacefully while surrounded by her family at 11:55 a.m. Thursday, June 4, 2009 in Heartland of Chillicothe.
She was born March 31, 1931, in Chillicothe, the daughter of the late Howard and Nellie Robinson Miller.
Surviving are daughters, Susan (Don) Scott, of Richmond Dale, Nancy Seagraves, of Reynoldsburg, Bobbi (David) Crowe, of Chillicothe, Kelly Seagraves and Lisa (James) Walker, both of Reynoldsburg; 9 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; a sister, Elizabeth (James) Stanford, of Chillicothe; and a niece. She was predeceased by a great granddaughter, Rylee Carlson.
Barbara retired from Ohio Bell in 1993.
A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Monday, June 8, 2009 in the WARE FUNERAL HOME with Rev. James W. Grove officiating.
