Mrs. Jennie Baker, 63, wife of Homer G. Baker, Route 5, died at 4:35 a.m. Tuesday in Memorial Hospital. She was admitted here Monday for treatment of a heart condition. Born Oct. 11, 1888, in Cairo, she was a former member of the Cairo Lutheran Church. Also surviving are her father, Grant Downing, No. 11 Elmview Ct; five brothers, Robert D., Route 5; Hugh, Ft. Wayne; Charles, No. 11, Elmview Ct; Paul, 1030 W. North St, and Royal, 831 Oak St, and two sisters, Mrs. Nellie Ralstin, Phoenix, Ariz., and Mrs. Dorothy Conway, 38 Public Sq. The body will remain in Chiles and Son Funeral Home for services at 2 p.m. Thursday. The Rev. Willard Thomas will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
