DOWNS, Carolyn Sue Age 69 of Germantown, passed away Thursday, August 27, 2015. She was born October 5, 1946 to James and the late Shirley Roberts. Carolyn loved cookbooks, flowers and farming, she was always giving to and helping others in need. She graduated from Germantown High School and attended Miami Jacobs Career College, she worked as a nursing assistant for Maria Joseph Nursing Home, Good Samaritan Hospital and was employed by Sears department store for 25 years. Carolyn is survived by her son, David (Annette) Downs Jr; daughter, Christine (Steve) Townsend; 3 grandchildren, Cody Downs, Zach Townsend and Sara Downs; brother, James Roberts; and several nieces. The family would like to send a special thank you to Sycamore Hospital and Germantown Rescue Squad. REVISED: A graveside service will be held at 11:00am on Tuesday, September 1, 2015 at Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery 8135 N. Dixie Dr., Dayton, Ohio. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Germantown Rescue Squad, 240 S. Cherry Street, Germantown, Ohio.
