Mrs. Ellen Bartley, widow of the late W. P. Bartley, passed away at her home, 905 Eleventh avenue, yesterday at 1:30 p. m. after a week's illness of complications.
Ellen Doyle, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Doyle, was born June 29, 1860, in Rock Island, where she had lived all her life. She was married Dec. 25, 1877. Five children came to this union all of whom survive, four daughters, Mrs. A. E. Butts, Mrs. J. Wilhite, Rock Island; Mrs. Fred Bailey, Saskatchewan, Can.; and Cora and William at home; two sisters, Mrs. John Quinlan, Fountain City, Wis., and Mrs. Bohme of this city, and four brothers, William, John, Daniel and Eugene, all of Rock Island.
The funeral will be private from the home tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock. Burial will be in Chippiannock.
