Genevieve "Ginger" Dralle, age 81 of East Moline died Saturday, January 31, 2004 at Genesis West, Davenport. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 4, 2004 at Christ United Methodist Church in East Moline. Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Tuesday at Esterdahl Mortuary,Ltd. 6601 – 38th Avenue, Moline. Burial will be at National Cemetery, Rock Island, IL. Memorials may be made to Christ United Methodist Church, East Moline where she was a member. Genevieve Kathryn Draves was born June 27, 1922 in Fennimore, Wisconsin, the daughter of Irvin and Constance Draves. She married Jordan C. Dralle on July 18, 1947 in Nashua, IA. He preceded her in death on January 25, 1994. Ginger graduated from Methodist Hospital School of Nursing, Madison, Wisconsin in 1943 and was a 1st Lieutenant in the U.S. Army Air Corp, serving in World War II. After raising her family, she returned to nursing in 1968. She was very active for many years in her church and will be remembered for her friendship and kindness. Survivors include her son, Jay C. Dralle of East Moline , a brother Dr. John I. Draves and his wife Cathy of Sun City West, Arizona and many nieces and nephews. A special thank you to the nurses and staff at Genesis West Medical Center for their tender care and compassion.
