Gertie Allison, age 79, of rural Richland Center, died on Wednesday, April 14, 1999 at the Richland Hospital. Gertie married Thomas E. Allison and he preceded her in death on October 29, 1985. She had a unique gift and talent for taking care of animals and nursing them back to health. Survivors include her half sister, Gladys Ferguson of Madison; sisters and brother, Mary (Roy) Fonstad of Holmen, Gayl (Verna-June) Draves of LaValle, and Virginia (Calvin) Knutson of Sun Prairie; several nieces and nephews; her special friends, Tammy and Jim West of Richland Center, and Brian Beck of Albany; and other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 17, 1999 at the Pratt Memorial Chapel. Friends may call at the chapel on Saturday from 12:00 noon until the time of the service.
