Mrs Johanna Behrens passed away on Sat Dec, 24, 1938 at the home of her sons, Robert and Frank, in Linn township, Wisc. Johanna Julia Drews was born April 04,1854 in Stralsund, Germany. She was married to Fred J Behrens in Germany and they came to the United States in 1890 and settled in Hebron township. Three years later they moved to the town of Linn, Walworth county, Wisc, where she resided with her sons, Robert and Frank. Her husband died in 1913 and one son, Fred, died in 1909. Her philosophy of life is found in her two favorite hymns, Abide with Me and Rock of Ages, which were sung at the funeral services. Her life can be expressed in the following words, an ideal friend, a true mother and a noble soul. The family were further saddened Tuesday morning by the sudden death of Mrs Behrens oldest son, Max, at Walworth Wisc. Max was a section foreman. Mrs Behrens is survived by four daughters, Mrs Charles Utesch, Mrs Minnie Fox, Mrs Charles Marzahl, Mrs Roy Wheeler, and five sons, Charles, John, Robert and Frank, and William.
