Catherine, 87, was the wife of John Brohm.
John and Catherine adopted my granpa, John Henry Heindl, age 2, in 1880 after his mother died. They raised him as an only child on a farm in Mad River Twp., Montgomery County, Ohio. His older brother, Michael, and sister, Anna, came to see him when he was about 20 yrs old, he was so surprised to find out he had another family.
