Mrs. Catherine Dressen, wife of Philip Dressen, died at 10:07 o'clock Monday morning in St. Mary's hospital after undergoing an operation Saturday. Mrs. Dressen was born in England 38 years ago, coming to America when she was four years old. She had lived in Decatur 22 years and had many friends here.
She married Philip Dressen 20 years ago. Her maiden name was Catherine Driscoll. She leaves her husband and three children, Charles Dressen, Philip Jr. and Margaret Dressen. She also leaves her father, Michael Driscoll; sister, Mrs. John Dressen of Decatur; brothers, John Driscoll of Northumberland, England and James Driscoll of Herrin, Il.
Mrs. Dressen was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic church, Daughters of Pocohantas and of the Tribe of Ben Hur.
Burial will be in Calvary cemetery.
