George W. Duckworth, 67, died at his home on Bloomingdale Road at 9:25 a.m. Monday after a short illness. Prior to 1933, he had been employed by Mead Corporation for 18 years.
Surviving are: his widow, Mrs. Sudie Duckworth; one son, Howard Duckworth; five daughters, Mrs. Walter Williams, Mrs. Ernest Jayne, Mrs. Janie Yates and Mrs. Eugene Ketron, all of Kingsport, and Mrs. William Vaughn of Cumberland, Ky.; one sister, Mrs. George Christian, of Kingsport; 13 grandchildren and: six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Walnut Chapel Church. The Rev. Basil Freeman and the Rev Earl Dingus will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
The body will be removed to the home back of Kingsley School, at 2 p.m. Tuesday, from Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home
