Florita Jean Baumfalk 82, Passed away September 2, 2005 in Walnut
Creek, California. Florita was born July 11, 1923 in Fresno,
California, the daughter of Arthur Edgar and Jessie Marie (Bowers)
Duer. She grew up in California and Colorado. She married Louis
Merritt Baumfalk, August 3, 1941 in Delta, Colorado. In the early
1950's, she and Louis and their two children moved to the East Bay
area. They settled in Pleasant Hill, where she was a homemaker until
her health declined. She loved gardening, cooking and needlework. She
was active in her church and Eastern Star. She was preceded in death
by her parents, Arthur and Jessie, and her husband Louis. She leaves
her son Bill, his wife Becky, her daughter Alice, two grandsons, a
great grandson and numerous nieces, nephews and friends to remember
her twinkling blue eyes, her ready smile and the precious times they
all had with her. Services will be held at Oakmont Memorial Park at
10 AM on Wednesday, September 7th. If you wish to make a memorial
