Mrs. Charley was born June 20, 1920 in Camp County to Elijah and Bessie Mae McMillian Duffie. She was a member of Greater Bethlehem Baptist Church in Bessemer.
Surviving are a stepdaughter, Barbara Trotter of Bessemer; two brothers, Marion Duffie of Texarkana and Willie Frank Duffie of Dallas; four step-grandchildren and seven step-great-grandchildren.
