Brother of Edward F Duncan Jr and Christina Louise Duncan

Father Al was a professor of philosophy at Boston College for 33 years and chairman of the philosophy department for many years. He also taught philosophy at Weston College and St Vincent de Paul Seminary in Boynton Beach, FL. During his long career at Boston College, he advised and directred a number of student organizations. For many years he was a counselor to the Presidents of Boston College, as a member of the board of Trustees. He was a longtime pastor of the the parishioners of St. Stephens Church in the North End and St. Peter's Church in Dorchester. And through this varied apostolate, he showed his intelligence, integrity and courageous spirit. Boston College and so many others will ever be indebted to this gifted and devoted priest.
