Mrs. DuBois was a professor at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York City and an accomplished artist. She also worked with the Educational Television Network in South Carolina, and had appeared on the CBS Network Morning News.
She was serving her second three year term as mayor of the Town of Lake Park, FL. She had previously served on the Code Compliance Board for eight years and had chaired it for six of those years. She played a major part in establishing the local Historical Society, and had volunteered her time as president for several years.
