Having actually gone "Missing" in the above year, he was not officially declared by the military as being dead until January 16, 1946.

Albert served as a Radarman Second Class, U.S. Navy during World War II.

He resided in Connecticut prior to the war.

Albert was declared "Missing In Action" in the South Pacific during the war.

He was awarded the Air Medal with 2 Gold Stars and the Purple Heart.

Since Albert was awarded the Air Medal he was part of an aircrew on some type of Navy plane.

Service # 6428020

Albert's name is shown in error on the ABMC site as a "Jr." which he wasn't.

Son of Romante Duranti who resided in New London, Connecticut.
