June Cramsey, died on Sunday, October 1, 2006 at the Presbyterian Manor, Salina, Kansas.

June Aleen Cramsey, the daughter of George Ellsworth and Alnita Mae (Dunham) Durham, was born June 19, 1917 at Little River, Kansas. She was the youngest of four children born to this union, one son and three daughters: Thais, Glenda, Galen, and June. She attended the Little River grade schools and graduated from Little River High School as Salutatorian in 1935. June then attended Nurses training in Hutchinson, Kansas for one year. Later she attended Brown Mackie Business College in Salina, Kansas.

On June 20, 1936 June was united in marriage to Lynn Arnold Cramsey at McPherson, Kansas. The young couple established their first home together on a farm near Conway, Kansas. They were blessed with the birth of three children, one son and two daughters: George, Anita, and Judy. June was a homemaker and through the years she worked as a cook for the Conway schools in the 1940's and was a sales clerk for J.C. Penney's. In 1956 June began working for Farmers Alliance Insurance Company in the Claims Department. Through the years she also worked in the Underwriting and Policy Service Departments. On May 19, 1971, June and her children were deeply saddened by the sudden death of Lynn. June retired from Farmers Alliance Insurance Company in 1982. June volunteered her time at Memorial Hospital as a member of the Memorial Hospital Auxiliary. June joined the First United Methodist Church and was a faithful member. She enjoyed her circle meetings and helping out in the kitchen. On May 8, 1990, June again was deeply saddened by the death of her son, George.

June was a devoted Christian, loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Her wise counsel, gentle guidance, gracious smile, and sense of humor will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her. She was very proud of her children and always wanted the best for them. She was especially proud of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, always looking forward to their visits and times they would share together. Though the years, June enjoyed bowling on the local league.

Because of Ill health in 2001, June moved to Salina, Kansas to be closer to family.
