LEONARDVILLE-- Elta Mae Dornberger, 74, died Sunday, April 8, 2012, at her residence.

Mrs. Dornberger was born March 17, 1938 at Brewster, Kan., the daughter of Charles and Rosa (Miller) Durham.

On May 29, 1955 at Gem, Kan., she married Martin D. Dornberger.

She was first and foremost a homemaker. She helped her husband with operating and servicing their fruit juice vending machines and she drove people around for errands and appointments.

She was preceded in death by one son, Douglas D. Dornberger and two sisters, Norma Jean Rath and Clara Jane Langley.

Survivors include her husband, Martin Dornberger of the home; two daughters, Donna D. Hopkins and husband Larry of Jefferson City, Mo. and Debra D. Gohn and husband Don of Frazier Park, Calif.; one son, Daniel D. Dornberger of Florida; two sisters, Rosalea Johnson of Bloomington, Ind. and Ellie Marty of Chandler, Ariz.; two brothers, Charlie Durham of Baudette, Minn. and August Durham of Colby; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, April 13, 2012 at the Holmes-Pfeifley Funeral Home, Riley, with the Revs. Diana Stewart and D. Erich Schwartz officiating. Burial will be in the Bala Cemetery west of Riley.

Respect calls may be made anytime Thursday at the funeral home where the family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m.
